Not an auspicuous start for the Pelosi Shadow Guv-mint

The Peolsi Shadow Guv-mint suffered it's first setback this week when House Defeato-crats decided that although John "A Disgrace to the Corps" Murtha was Pelosi's choice and had lots of ethics problems which should have made him a shoe-in for House Majority Leader, they picked Rep. Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland by a margin of 2-1.

This turn of events could mean a few things:

1) Just because your are the first female House Speaker in history doesn't automatically mean that the "old boys network" takes to being bossed around by a woman,

2) The rest of the House Defeato-crats saw the "writing on the wall" for next campaign and decided to avoid any nasty campaign adds featuring AdScam Murtha and them in the same sentence, or

3) John "Cut and Run" Murtha is getting some payback from the rest of the House for all the back-stabbing that he has done over the years.

Whatever the reason, this doesn't bode well for Speaker Pelosi if this is going to be a regular occurance. Maybe these two years will be just a bump in President Bush/Vice-President Cheney's relentless drive to destroy all personal liberty, throw all welfare recipients out into the streets, crush all free speech, imprison all gay/lesibian/transgender/questioning Americans in evangelical re-education camps and subjugate the entire world under Republican domination. Oooh! It just gives me goose bumps thinking about it!
