My Prediction for the Big Game

Besides Thanksgiving, this weekend also has the traditional BYU-Utah game. Over the past few years the Godless Heathens from the North have cheated their way to win, but this year the Righteous Men of the South are the favored team.

My objective, dispassionate, analytical prediction? The Utes are the same inconsistent, mediocre team that they were last year, while BYU is much, much better on both sides of the ball. The Cougars will win, the only question is by how much. Based on their performance earlier this season at TCU and Air Force, I'm predicting a final score of 35-17.

My wild-eyed, biased partisan prediction? It won't even be close. The Utes have built up four years of payback, and they're going to get it this Saturday. Try 63-3. It will make the Wyoming game look like a squeaker.

I'll pick the Godless Heathens from the North by 5.

From what the Desnews says, the game ended 33-31 for the Righteous Men from the South. It looked like the Godless Heathens would win, but The Righteous Men got the proverbial last-minute, time-expired touchdown to smite their enemies and win the game. Too bad I wasn't there to see the fun.
