On this day in military history....in 2000. The USS Cole was attacked by terrorists in Aden, Yemen. A rubber dingy loaded with explosives was blown up against the Cole's hull that blew a 40 by 40 foot hole in the ship. Seventeen sailors lost their lives and 38 others were wounded. President Clinton, deciding to take a stand against terrorism and not having Monica Lewinsky around to "soothe" his feelings, ordered all American ships in the Persian Gulf to leave port and head to open water.
This is the world that John "I have a plan" Kerry wants to return to, i.e., a world where terrorists can kill Americans whenever they want without any response from America. Some Europeans have told me that they would like to vote in the US elections because they want "I have a plan" John to be president. I'm sure that Al-Qaeda is saying the same thing.
