I guess the truth hurts, right Obama?

Preisdent Bush was in Israel this week and while speaking to the Israeli Knesset, called negociating with terrorists the "false comfort of appeasement". Within 1 femto-second, Senator Osama, oops, Obama said that President Bush was falsely accusing him of appeasement. Unfortunately, President Bush wasn't talking about anyone in particular, but let's look at the facts. Obama has said that if elected president, he would negociate with Iran and other terrorist organizations, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any difference between what President Bush said and what he is all worked up about. Negociating with terrorists is appeasement, plain and simple. Just ask your friend, Kofi the Appeaser.

"false comfort of appeasement" is the only way to describe what Mr. Obama was saying. And Mr. Obama cannot send an envoy to Israel to let them know that he does not really mean what he is saying. I guess he learned something from Nafta.

This guy Obama has no respect for the office of the President of the United States. Bush did not mention his name, yet Obama just blurts lies about our president right in front of all America as if we are too stupid to understand his dishonesty. What is this guy made of?

I can appreciate that some people simple don't care for Mr. Obama, but a cascade of lies is not really the way to express your distaste.

1. The White House Press Office has already acknowledged that Mr. Bush was talking about Obama.

2. Mr. Obama said that he would be open to discussions with any nation, and has never advocated negotiation with Hamas. The equation of dialog with appeasement is simply daft.

3. Criticizing a political opponent while on foreign soil is simply beyond the pale.

The White House Press office has not acknowledged the comment was about Obama. Press secretary Dana Perino told reporters in Israel. "I would think that all of you who cover these issues and have for a long time have known that there are many who have suggested these types of negotiations with people that the president, President Bush, thinks that we should not talk to. I understand when you're running for office you sometimes think the world revolves around you. That is not always true. And it is not true in this case."

If Obama has not suggested speaking with Hamas, then the comment could not have been meant for him in any way. The truth is that his foreign policy is so naive that he would speak with Hamas, and he knows that. Therefore the comment is true and should be meant for him. Perhaps a thicker skin is in order for one who hopes to hold the highest office in the land.

The fact that you made that ridiculous "Osama" joke shows that you're line of thinking is not on an intelligent level. When you can ignore rhyming names as a relationship between two people's political ideology, I'm ready to hear what you have to say. Until then, keep working on actually forming a legitimate argument.

Another brilliant conservatard blogger making the same worn out old "Obama/Osama" joke...

Hey, genius -- go read something other than the National Review and you'll see that Obama is against negotiation with Hamas.

And if negotiating with Iran is so unthinkable, why doesn't Chimp-in-Chief Bush fire both Condescenda Rice and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, both of whom have said they support direct talks with Iran?

Disrespectful? Yup, I sure am. I hold anyone who plays that moronic "Obama/Osama" card in absolute utter contempt. Start acting like an intelligent human being and speak respectfully and I'll return the favor. Until then, kiss my meat-eating, gun-toting liberal ass, Mister Conservatard blogger.

Back to the actual ISSUE being discussed here, it is wickedly stupid for a president (or presidential candidate) to publicly state they will unconditionally meet or discuss meeting with a terrorist organization. Period. Were such an act to take place, it is a political victory for the terrorist organization.
By the way, name calling (by either side) simply indicates your IQ is 100 points lower than you think it is.

What do you mean when said that Obama is naive in foreign policy? Are you in agreement with genocide implemented by the various governments Americans against the world?
Obama proposes a turnaround. Why USA has to be an enemy of Chavez? Venezuela is achieving social justice for its people.
Is it right that USA maintains an economic blockade (embargo) against Cuba? This is genocidal blockade and seeks to surrender by hunger and disease an entire people, its defends his government, because they are the same.
Many lies about the world are repeated in the USA.
Israel is the clone of USA in the Middle East. Terrorism breeds terrorism.

To the person above who mentioned "cascade of lies". You're a liar. The white house said Bush was NOT talking about Obama. You're not fooling anyone here my friend.

I didn't know "social justice" meant shutting down independent news outlets, destroying much of the nation's commerce, and denying basic commercial goods to most of the population. Guess you learn something new everyday.

Wow! 13 responses to my post! The Obama/Osama (take your pick) worshippers have come out of the woodwork to defend the good name of the man that will make right all the wrongs of the BusHitler military junta. What's Obama/Osama going to do now? Cry to the UN about the EEEVVVIIILLL Neo-Cons?

This whole dust-up shows just how naive Obama/Osama really is when it comes to foreign policy. I guess sitting in church, listening to the rantings of a racist for 20 years doesn't prepare you too well to conduct a foreign policy that isn't the laughing stock of the world. It would be interesting to see the Iranians/Hamas/Hesbollah/Insert your favorite terrorist group here have their way with Obama/Osama the same way that the Iranians had their way with Jimmy "I'll fellate any terrorist" Car-tah.
