At the Battle of the Falkland Islands, a British navy fleet consisting of battlecruisers Invincible and Inflexible catches a German commerce raiding fleet off the Falklnd Islands and sinks the German cruisers Scharnhorst, Gneisenau, Nurnberg and Leipzig without any losses.
