Quote of the day
Jay over at Wizbang provides an excellent metaphor of UN administration:
Is there ANYONE who can give any reason WHATSOEVER why the UN should be trusted with control of the internet, especially in light of their own stellar record of failures, corruption, and ineptitude? I wouldn't trust the UN with a g*dd#mned lemonade stand -- it would be overpriced, toxic, and served in leaky cups. (profanity slightly edited, emphasis added -- CH)

You do me great honor, Captain. Even bowdlerized, I appreciate the praise.
I must confess -- had the guest gig at Wizbang not turned permanent, I had considered applying here for a guest spot. I'd even picked out my name, "Silverweed."

Our loss, I would say.
I am going to use your quote in the future -- it's perfect.
Jay, you are always welcome to join us here at The Warren. The more, the merrrier.
Please, feel free to re-use that quote as much as you like. My standing requirement is that I don't mind if it's unattributed, but I get bent out of shape if someone else claims it as their own. I have absolutely no fears of that happening here, but I do try to remain consistent.
And while I am tremendously honored by the standing invitation, the Wizbang thing has worked out wonderfully for me. Although "Silverweed," the lazy, twisted poet and embodiment of Fiver's nightmares -- there is a certain appeal there.
And just so you all know -- I'm ALWAYS looking for opportunities to quote Bigwig's "Military History of France" piece. I think I've cited it at least three times...
J.
Rest assured you will be given full credit, O Wise One.
